About This Project

What This Is

Bellingham Neighborhoods is a free guide to the neighborhoods that make up Bellingham, Washington. It's built for people who are curious about the city — whether you're thinking about moving here, just arrived, or have lived here for years.

This site will evolve as more information is collected and I strongly encourage feedback. You can suggest edits on each neighborhood by clicking "Suggest an Edit" at the bottom of each neighborhood's details panel.

Who Built It

This site was made by me, Kellen Busby. I'm a Bellingham resident of ~2 years. I wanted a better resource for understanding the city's neighborhoods as I consider buying property in town. It's a personal project that I thought I could create as a community resource instead of just for myself.

The Mission

Highlight the different character of each of the neighborhoods of Bellingham, WA. There is a focus on evaluating a neighborhood as a place to live. But this guide can be so much more than that so I'm not constraining it to that.

How Content Is Made

I'm starting out with most of this content gathered by AI agents and then reviewed by me. As I gather more info and get feedback from the community, more and more of the content will become human-curated. My goal is to evolve this site progressively and continue to add content and features.
